Columns Deluxe is a game for iOS developed by Sega and released exclusively in the US and Europe sometime in 2007 or 2008 (the last update was 2008). It is the most recent entry in the Columns series. There are two games to play: Columns (with Columns III rules, but replacing the 30-point score with a rising meter and removing flashing gems) and Puyo Pop (with Puyo Puyo Tsu rules). In fact, the presence of Puyo Pop throughout the game (Carbuncle scattered around the main menu; Puyo etched into the stone background of Columns mode) makes this as much of a Puyo Puyo game as a Columns game.
Both games can be either played in a 10-round against-the-computer mode or in an endless mode. There are also two control modes: "Accelerometer On," where tilting the device moves blocks, and "Accelerometer Off," where the screen is separated into regions that determine what the block does when tapped.
The stage music in Columns mode is from the original Columns; the stage music in Puyo Pop mode is from Puyo Puyo~n.
