Fatal Fury Special, known as Garou Densetsu Special (餓狼伝説ＳＰＥＣＩＡＬ) in Japan, is an improved version of SNK's one-on-one fighting game, Fatal Fury 2. Starting life on the Neo Geo MVS arcade platform, it was brought to a variety of home consoles including the Sega Mega CD and Sega Game Gear in 1995 and 1994, respectively.

Gameplay

The Mega Drive CD version contains many improvements over Fatal Fury 2. This includes the ability to jump back and forth between the foreground and background, new combo system, a larger cast of selectable characters, and faster game speed.

The Game Gear version has one punch and kick button which can be pressed together to initiate a strong attack. No sidestep feature is present.
