Tanglewood is a Sega Mega Drive and Sega Dreamcast puzzle platform game developed by Matt Phillips of Big Evil Corporation[6] and published by Mega Cat Studios. The result of a successfully-crowdfunded Kickstarter campaign (with £54,830 pledged of its £48,000 goal), it was first released on cartridge in the United Kingdom and the United States in 2018, and was later self-published on Itch.io and Steam on August 14, 2018 - with a further GOG release on January 23, 2019.[7] Purchases of the game's digital version also include the game's Mega Drive .BIN file, allowing play on flash carts and emulators.

Plot
Set in the realm of Tanglewood, the game follows a young creature, Nymn, who is separated from his pack after the sun sets. Unable to get back to the safety of the family's underground home, Nymn must find a way to survive the night terrors and get to morning. Tanglewood’s world is a dangerous one after dark. Guiding Nymn, you must use your skills of evasion, traps and trickery to defeat predators.
Gameplay
Tanglewood is a platforming game with puzzle elements, and can be described as a mix of the Mega Drive titles Another World and The Lion King.

Versions
The digital version of Tanglewood is in fact just the Mega Drive game being run through the emulator EvilEmu.[8] The Dreamcast version would have used the same emulator, but these plans were delayed indefinitely due to lack of funds and time.[9]
