Earth UFO Catcher is a browser game released by SEGA of Japan at their 60th anniversary. The game parodies the well known and popular UFO Catcher crane games, where you catch items with a crane.
Gameplay is very simple. You have regular coins and challenge coins. With regular coins you can try a chance to launch the crane and pick a random item. With Challenge coins you can go to a location where a real player, with its GPS activated, is. GPS can be actvated or deactivated anytime at the game settings. Then you can play a tap minigame to pick one of the items this user has already got on their collection. There are 139 items from all SEGA history. Once you get them all, you get a chance to win one of the 10 SEGA 60th anniversary conmemorative medal by draw. Game was only active form June 3rd, 2020 to June 9th, 2020. Once the promotion is finished, it was closed.
