Spartan: Total Warrior, known as Spartan: Ancient Greek Heroes (スパルタン ~古代ギリシャ英雄伝~) in Japan, is an action game developed by The Creative Assembly and published by Sega for the PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox. The game is a spin-off from the Total War series, with hack and slash style gameplay rather than strategy.
Spartan is set in a fantasy version of the Roman Empire, featuring mythical creatures and the Greek god of war Ares. The player assumes the role of a Spartan warrior, fighting against the Romans and a variety of monsters.
