Credits setting
In the options menu, press 
, then press START to exit, enter the sound test and press START again, then enter the options menu again.
777 on scoreboard
If, in a two-player game, the second player dies first and you then run out of credits, holding 
++ on the second control pad during the transition to the score screen will make the game display "777" on player 2's scoreboard.
It is not known why this is a feature.
Cheat device codes
These are cheat codes that can only be used with game enhancer devices. Support for these codes is available in most emulators.
