Home computers were a type of affordable computer in the late 1970s, 1980s and up to the early 1990s. They were designed as an affordable alternative to business computers for the home consumer, and were mostly used to run video games. Sega supported several popular home computers with ports of their arcade games, most of which were handled by Activision and U.S. Gold.
