Face Plant is an unreleased Sega Mega Drive game that was set to be published by Electronic Arts. It was previewed in a cover feature in an issue of Sega Zone before it was quietly cancelled.[1]

The game was to be a winter sports game with combat mechanics akin to Road Rash and its sequel, in which the player would ride a snowboard or skis down a mountain, attacking opponents by punching them, kicking them or hitting them with ski sticks. In addition to slalom and downhill sections, there would have been a 'Free Ride' mode in which the player must get from the top of a mountain to the bottom as quickly as possible without any rules or regulations. There were at least 15 unique opponents with individual personalities, skills and mugshots much like in Road Rash II

The game is known to have at least reached a playable "pre-alpha" state in development before its cancellation.[2]
