Ninja Gaiden (ニンジャガイデン) is a reboot of the 'Ninja Gaiden' series developed by Team Ninja that was set to be released for the Dreamcast in early 2000s.

Due to Sega announcing the end of Dreamcast's production line in 2001, the project was moved to the Xbox instead of the PlayStation 2 because Tomonobu Itagaki was impressed with the console's software development kits. The game was finally released for the Microsoft's console in 2004, with critical acclaim.

No prototype versions have been found for the Dreamcast version.
