T-HQ shows new lineup of portable video games and XBAND video game modem at 1995 Winter CES; It's a whole new game at T-HQ.

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 1995--T-HQ Inc. (NASDAQ:TOYH), a leading publisher of video game software, Wednesday revealed its line of premiere video games for 1995 release.

Six conversions from Electronic Arts/EA SPORTS for the portable platforms, including FIFA International Soccer '95, NHL Hockey '95, Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, Urban Strike and PGA European Tour will be demonstrated for the first time at the 1995 Winter Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this week, Jan. 6-9, in Las Vegas.

T-HQ will also showcase its upcoming 1995 releases for Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo, including seaQuest DSV, BASS Masters Classic and The Mask, as well as the XBAND Video Game Modem, which was launched last November in five test markets -- New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas and Atlanta.

"In 1995, predicted to be a transitional year for the video game industry, T-HQ will focus on developing and delivering high quality, high profile products for the large existing portable gaming market," said Brian Farrell, T-HQ executive vice president and chief operating officer.

"In addition to expanding distribution of the XBAND Video Game Modem nationally and publishing video games for both the Nintendo and Sega 16-bit platforms, T-HQ also plans to introduce over 25 conversions of Electronic Arts/EA SPORTS titles in 1995. Our retailers and their customers continue to request quality products for the portable platforms. We believe the category continues to be an important one for our industry through the coming year," Farrell added.

T-HQ plans to release video game titles for the portable and 16-bit Nintendo and Sega platforms throughout 1995, including FIFA International Soccer '95 for Game Boy; NHL Hockey '95 for Game Boy; Desert Strike for Game Boy; seaQuest DSV for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis; BASS Masters Classic for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis; The Mask for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis; Sports Illustrated: Championship Football & Baseball for Game Gear; PGA European Tour for Super Nintendo, Game Boy and Game Gear; PGA Tour III for Super Nintendo, Game Boy and Game Gear; Jungle Strike for Game Boy and Game Gear; Urban Strike for Super Nintendo, Game Boy and Game Gear; Shaq-Fu for Game Boy; Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City for Game Boy and Game Gear; Madden '96 for Game Boy and Game Gear; FIFA International Soccer '96 for Game Boy and Game Gear; and NHL Hockey '96 for Game Boy and Game Gear.

All of these 1995 video game titles will be distributed both domestically and throughout Europe and Japan by T-HQ Inc. and by the company's European subsidiary, T-HQ International.
