SEGA SHIPS WORMS 3D FOR XBOX

(March 1, 2005) - SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced the availability of Worms 3D™ on the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft. This clever 3D re-imagining of the cult Worms franchise allows players to challenge friends at home and online, using Microsoft's Xbox Live service.

"Worms 3D is a perfect title to bring online, and given the game's $19.95 price point, any Xbox player can afford to join in the fun," said Mark Polcyn, Product Manager, SEGA of America, Inc. "Worms 3D is light, it's funny, and it is one of the easiest strategy games on the market to pick up and play."

SEGA has partnered with Team17 - developers of the original 2D Worms games - to continue the legacy of this entertaining strategy franchise. The new 3D setup makes for a whole new Worms experience - one that is ultimately deeper and more satisfying than prior 2D iterations. Environments now offer more hiding places and exploits, and weapons have been reworked to function in 3D space. Of course, the series' trademark humor is as witty and cutting as ever.

With ever-changing randomly generated maps and a multitude of new battle tactics to explore, Worms 3D takes the award-winning Worms' experience to the next level.

Worms 3D is rated 'T' for 'Teen' and is available at retailers nationwide for an MSRP of $19.95.
