Harry Chavez

From Sega Retro

History

  • Began as tester, promoted to gameplay balancer, then promoted/also did work as an artist (spec. on Eternal Champions likely)
  • Chavez and Erik Wahlberg spent the last six weeks of Eternal Champions' development LIVING IN THE SOA OFFICES. The obituary says they were living there for the six weeks "along with the team." I'm assuming this doesn't mean the entirety of Eternal Champions' dev team also slept at SoA, but Chavez and Wahlberg definitely did. For six weeks!!

Lead tester?

Per more information I'm learning, seems like Chavez was a lead tester. Doesn't seem like he was credited as such, and this definitely needs more research, but Latham said Chavez was one of the most important testers on Eternal Champions. Heck this info comes from a Eternal Champions deviantart obituary post, if that's not enough indication that he was one of the company's higher-up testers. But leaving this here for future verification/research. CartridgeCulture (talk) 00:56, 17 November 2021 (EST)
