Team NFL (ニューUFOキャッチャー) is a UFO Catcher released by Sega in 1992.[1] A special version of the company's New UFO Catcher with Team NFL branding, it was produced exclusively for Sigma arcades,[1] and plays covers of Van Halen and The Meters songs during gameplay.[2]
Gameplay
Up to two players can use Team NFL at once, with each player controlling either a Los Angeles Raiders or San Francisco 49ers-themed claw. The machine's control panel is themed to an American football field, and the prize doors are decorated with the NFL logo.[1]
During gameplay, the machine plays presumably unlicensed FM synthesis covers of Van Halen and The Meters songs,[2] presumably to reinforce the American sports theme with matching American pop music.
