Ecco the Dolphin is an unreleased entry in the Ecco the Dolphin series for the Sega 32X.
This version of Ecco was announced shortly after the add-on's unveiling in Summer 1994, but aside from a Cinepak encoded title (or introduction) screen (which has been leaked since), the game was not seen from again. It is thought that had it been released, it may have been an updated version of the original Ecco the Dolphin, though may have been an entirely new game altogether.
Further footage of a pre-rendred Ecco the Dolphin was used to promote an early Sega Saturn, although it has not been confirmed whether development moved to that system. Ecco was reportedly bogged down with delays and the project was cancelled due to poor 32X sales (likely early 1995).
