The Nu 1.1 is an arcade board created by Sega. As a replacement to the original shortlived Nu system, the hardware received significantly more use in its time due to being used for all instalments of Chunithm until Paradise Lost, as well as its use by Capcom for both Crossbeats REV. and Luigi's Mansion Arcade.
It also saw some international releases; Luigi's Mansion and Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Arcade Edition were released outside of Japan by Sega Amusements International, whilst Crossbeats REV. was given a limited exclusive release across all Round1 locations in the US.
Nu 1.1 was complemented by the lower-cost Nu SX, which similarly received a greater proportion of releases than the original Nu board, and was succeeded itself in 2016 by the Nu 2.
