3D view debug mode

During the 3D introduction, press B+X+Z+ MODE . This will enable "debug mode" allowing you to adjust the camera.

"Cheat" mode

Pause the game and press Up Down Up Down Up Down C B A Right Left. Now press A for "slow motion" (pressing buttons or the d-pad causes a single frame to advance,  START  resumes normal play) and B to skip the current level[1].

The Japanese release of Ex-Ranza disables easy and heavy difficulty modes by default. To re-enable them, go to the options screen and quickly press A B C A B C A B C. Setting the difficulty to easy and starting a new game loads up a tutorial stage[1].
