The King of Fighters 2000 (ザ・キング・オブ・ファイターズ2000) is the seventh installment (and sixth canonical installment) of The King of Fighters series which was originally released on the Neo-Geo arcade hardware by SNK. The Sega Dreamcast version of the game was only released in Japan in August 2002.

History

The game was followed by The King of Fighters 2001.

Versions

Changes from the original Neo-Geo version include the addition of classic KoF stages from KoF '94 to KoF '99, it also adds some console exclusive Maniac Strikers to the game, unlike its predecessors, the game is not compatible with the Neo Geo Pocket/Dreamcast Setsuzoku Cable.
