Xump 2: Back in Space is a homebrew puzzle game for the Sega Mega Drive that was developed by Retroguru and published by DragonBox in 2020.[2] The game originally was an entry of Revision 2017 Game Compo and it won the 1st place.[3]

    Story

Xump, a tiny headbot, has been created by an unknown astronauts, who was all in to help cleaning space garbage. As the guys space mission came to an end earlier as expected, his unfinished technical masterpiece was shelved away on planet earth for years until Holger, an uprising space addict, found it in a library in Berlin, Germany. His request to fix it, was granted and he took X-UMP 483Y with him. After several weeks of hard work, the headbot Xump came to live again, X-UMP483Y would have just sound too complicated.

The unfinished, but well functioning prototype has been enhanced to show minor emotions and also understand such. For it's initial task, a virtual reality simulation has been created, where unstable space fields were dissolved successfully.

Just a month later, Holger got to know that Misuki, his secret love, was about to join an important space cleaning mission. In a rush, he managed to get Misuki the headbot Xump as protector on her lonesome mission. After all, he would be very happy to see her safe home again.

    Gameplay

Help Misuki to clean up deserted space fields. Luckily Holger borrowed out his headbot Xump, who will take over again.

Clear all dissolving tiles on several single-screen levels by simply stepping on them, one by one. Few fields are secured with mines and need a double tap. Mines can be blown up when passing by or disarmed by Xump when staying on this specific field for a short moment. Certainly the mission sounds easier than it will be.

    Xump 2 offers:-

    • 48 brand new Levels.
    • 6 atmospheric YM-Tracks.
    • Beautiful Pixel artwork.
    • Built in SRAM-Saving system for Highscores and completed levels.
    • Extras to unlock: The levels of the classic GP32 game Xump Origins (32) and Xump 1 (48) can be unlocked - which gives a total of 128 Levels in the cartridge!
