ESPN, originally an acronym for Entertainment and Sports Programming Network, is a multinational sports television network, most notable for licensing its branding and associated hosts to game developers for the production of officially-licensed sports video games.

Company

In 1996, The Walt Disney Company acquired the network's parent company American Broadcasting Company, and in turn ESPN itself.
