Game Gear

On the Master System, the introduction is constructed from in-game assets, while the Game Gear uses dedicated images to help tell the story. The Game Gear also streamlines the script, with fewer lines of dialogue overall.

Game Gear

While the Master System attempts to construct a realistic world map out of a small handful of tiles, the Game Gear goes for a more "abstract" approach to get around the limitation. Neither map is geographically accurate, but the lack of space to fill likely works in the Game Gear's favour.
