Saori Kobayashi (小林 早織) is a former Sega sound composer best known for her work on the latter titles of the Panzer Dragoon series. Prior to this, though, she was mainly involved with music composition for Game Gear titles and sound effect production for Saturn titles.

Some time after her work on Panzer Dragoon Orta, Kobayashi formed the Ethtronic music unit Akane alongside Yumiko Takahashi of Suikoden II fame. In addition to contributions to a few handheld titles and collaborative album releases (including the now-disbanded GeOnDan), she has since announced her involvement as main composer for Project Draco (originally announced in late 2009), a dev team made up of many former Panzer Dragoon staff. Other recent work includes one of the first Sega titles released for the PlayStation Vita: Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz, which has her collaborating with two of Namco's finest (among others).
