Disney Interactive, later known as Buena Vista Games, was a division of The Walt Disney Company established in 1995 to produce video games based on the company’s various franchises.

History

Formed from the 1995 shuddering of Disney Software, the newly-branded studio was Disney’s second foray into video game development.

In 2003, the company was rebranded as Buena Vista Games and was refocused on its two existing labels Buena Vista Interactive and Disney Interactive, although branding was often inconsistent. This lasted until the 2007 consolidation of Disney’s game development studios under the name Disney Interactive Studios.
