BRIO AB[1] is a Swedish wooden toy company founded in 1884, and is most famous for their line of wooden trains which have been selling across the continent since the 1950s.

BRIO was a distributor of Sega and Tiger LCD products in Scandinavia during the 1990s and early 2000s (distribution was managed by its division PlayMix[2][3]). They began by taking over Swedish distrubtion from Dennis Bergström Elektronik in 1990, before gaining the rights to distribute products in Norway in 1990, Denmark in 1990-1993; 1999-2002, Finland in 1991-1996; 1999-2002. Since this brief stint in the video game industry, the company has returned to producing, marketing and distributing traditional toys.
