The 1988 video of OutRun (アウトラン) published by Pony Canyon (not to be confused with a 1987 video by Sony) is a short video demonstrating the optimal way to play the Japanese arcade version of OutRun. It was released exclusively on LaserDisc in Japan.
In the film, the player uses the "geargacha" technique - an exploitable bug which allows the Testerossa to travel on rough surfaces at full speed (as well as accelerate more quickly). Footage from this video was recycled for the release of Sega Taikan Special.
