Toru Ohara (大原 徹) has been involved with development of console game titles as a planner since joining Sega in 1993. The first title he heavily participated in was Blue Seed: Kushinada Hirokuden, after which he was in charge of combat parts of Sakura Taisen and Sakura Taisen 2. He also served as general director for the Guru Guru Onsen series.
