Street Fighter III: Double Impact, known as Street Fighter III: W Impact (ストリートファイターIII Wインパクト) in Japan, is a competitive fighting game compilation produced by Capcom that was released exclusively for the Sega Dreamcast. Street Fighter III: New Generation, originally released for the CP System III arcade board in 1997, was the long-awaited numbered sequel to the Street Fighter II saga. This compilation includes New Generation and its first follow-up, Street Fighter III 2nd Impact: Giant Attack (released in 1998), serving as the first and only console port of both games. The Dreamcast would later receive a stand-alone port of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, the third and final game in the series.
