Seaman: Kindan no Pet: 2001 Nen Taiouban

Apparently this had a simultaneous released with the US version of Seaman in August 2000 - a full year after the original Japanese release.

Which makes me think US Seaman is actually Seaman 2001 in disguise. Except with Leonard Nimoy. And maybe other things.

Looking at the press release it explains the differences. Most are probably specific to Japanese language, but these should be applicable to the US release;

"A new viewpoint change function has been added that allows you to look down on the aquarium from above."

"The speed of Seaman growth changes depending on the progress of conversation."
