Wacky Races is a Sega Dreamcast game based on the TV show of the same name. It was released in 2000, and should not be confused with other Wacky Races games for the NES or computers of the early 1990s, or the PlayStation/Game Boy Color/PC title of the same name that Infogrames also published. It was later re-released for the PlayStation 2 the following year as Wacky Races: Starring Dastardly and Muttley.

The game is cel-shaded, and sees the player compete against other drivers from the series around a selection of tracks. Unfortunately, despite there being eleven racers in the show, only eight can compete at one time.

    Gameplay

    Racers

Every racer from the Wacky Races television show can be controlled in the Dreamcast game, though some need to be unlocked.

The Slag Brothers in the Boulder-Mobile (1)
The Gruesome Twosome in the Creepy Coupe (2)
Professor Pat Pending in the Convert-A-Car (3)
Red Max in the Crimson Haybailer (4)
Penelope Pitstop in the Compact Pussycat (5)
Sergeant Blast and Private Meekly in the Army Surplus Special (6)
The Ant Hill Mob in the Bullet Proof Bomb (7)
Lazy Luke and Blubber Bear in the Arkansas Chugga-Bug (8)
Peter Perfect in the Turbo Terrific (9)
Rufus Ruffcut and Saw Tooth in the Buzz Wagon (10)
Dick Dastardly and Muttley in the Mean Machine (00)
In the show, Dick Dastardly always finished last, if the car even finished at all, however in the Dreamcast game, it is fully possible to break tradition and win.
