Galaga '91 (ギャラガ’91), known as Galaga 2  in Europe, is a sequel to Namco's 1981 arcade classic, Galaga (brought to the SG-1000 as Sega Galaga). It is actually a port of Galaga '88, released in arcades in 1988. The game was brought to the Sega Game Gear in 1991, and was hence retitled, though there is still some confusion to be had as Galaga was originally intended to be a sequel to the 1979 game, Galaxian. It was not released in North America.

Galaga '91 builds on the formula seen in Galaga but also that of Gaplus (which confusingly is sometimes called Galaga 3).
