Atsushi "Sushi" Kosugi is a Japanese-American record producer and recording director who founded Beat on Beat, Inc., located in New York City, in 1988. He has served Sega on a fairly regular basis since 1994, mainly as a sound producer for titles produced by Sonic Team.

In 1992 Kosugi established the Beat on Beat Recording Studio, which went on to be a major recording studio for Japanese artists. Among these are Sega's own Naofumi Hataya (Burning Rangers), Kenichi Tokoi and Fumie Kumatani (Sonic Adventure). Though the studio was sold in 2000, Kosugi has since expanded his business to non-Japanese artists in South America and Europe through Aosis label, a division of JVC Music Entertainment. To this end he acted as Recording Director for the orchestral score of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games recorded in Amsterdam, NL (in addition to the NY Session for this and other titles).
