Sega (Japan), electronics group, plans to exit its Segaworld virtual reality games arcade JV with Chorion in the Trocadero centre in London, UK.

Sega will officially leave the JV on 12 September 1999, according to Chorion, holder of the lease for the Segaworld site. Chorion plans to sublet the space to Family Leisure (UK), private theme park operator, which will assume the property obligations for the site.

This agreement will eliminate losses to Chorion of over GBP2 mil/y, according to company chairman John Conlan, who believes that the concept behind Segaworld was 'fundamentally flawed'.
