Logicosoftware, was a software, video games and PC components distribution company founded in April 1986 in Lausanne, Switzerland by Swiss businesswoman Mrs. Chris Chauffat[4][5] (Christiane Chauffat[3]) and her husband Mr. Olivier Chauffat[6], currently owners of the Pully-based computer and office equipment wholesaler C&O Distribution Sàrl.
In 1988[2] the company won exclusive distribution contracts from companies like Sega, MicroProse, and Electronic Arts and two years later in 1991[2] it takes the first steps in hardware distribution with the exclusive representation of Creative Labs products in Switzerland.
In 1996[2], to protect itself from increasing competition and falling margins, especially in the software area, Mrs. Chris Chauffat decided to only conclude exclusive distribution contracts, ceasing its contract with Creative Labs who was looking for as many sales channels as possible during this time, and signing a contract with the French group Guillemot Corporation S.A. of brothers Christian, Claude, Gérard, Michel and Yves Guillemot, founders of Ubisoft, a company of the group, for distribution of products[7] of the brands Hercules[8][9] (DJ products, sound cards and wireless LAN products) and Thrustmaster[9] (consoles and PC accessories for video games).
The takeover by Guillemot followed in 1998[2] with Mrs. Chris Chauffat and her husband Mr. Olivier Chauffat remaining at the top of the business and the name and appearance of the company remaining unshaked until 2003, when Guillemot Corporation S.A. discontinued it's PC card business and Mrs. Chris Chauffat and her husband Mr. Olivier Chauffat left the company[4], who was later renamed as Guillemot Suisse S.A. and its headquarters were moved to Montreux, operating under that name until 2010[3], when it was ultimately dissolved following liquidation.
