Phantasy Star II: Anne's Adventure (ファンタシースターII テキストアドベンチャー アンナの冒険) is a Visual Text Adventure game developed and published by Sega for the Sega Mega Drive. It was initially only available in Japan as a download through the Sega Game Toshokan service, but later would be re-released on the Game no Kanzume series for Sega Mega CD, SEGA AGES 2500 Vol 32 Phantasy Star Complete Collection, and part of Sega's B-Club service. It is a part of a series of games with similar gameplay which are collectively called the Phantasy Star II Text Adventures by fans.

Ploitline

The game takes place before the events of Phantasy Star II.

Amy Sage (Japanese: アンヌ・サガ (Annu or Anne Saga)) has just finished her internship at the hospital in River Town, and has become a full-fledged doctor. Calm, yet strong-willed, she is dedicated in helping everyone who needs her medical aid. Her chapter takes place in the spring of AW 1284, shortly before the events of Phantasy Star II, giving the player some insight into why she became a doctor and decided to specialize in helping victims of Biomonster attacks.

Gameplay

Each of the Phantasy Star II Text Adventure games had identical gameplay mechanics which were. On the screen are small graphics showing an on-screen event as well as a textual description of it. The player can progress through the game using the "Move", "Look", "Take", "Use", and "Drop" commands. The player also has HP, which factors into battle sequences, and MST (Meseta), currency used in shops.
