Zürcher SC (Switzerland; 1992-1994)

Sega sponsored Swiss professional ice hockey team Zürcher Schlittschuh Club^[1] in the 1992/1993^[2] and 1993/1994^[3] seasons of the National League, the top level of ice hockey in Switzerland.^[4]^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8] The best players in each home game were each presented with a Sega Mega Drive console.^[9]

Elitserien (Sweden; 1993-1994)

Sega was one of the five main sponsors of the 1993/1994 season of the Swedish Elitserien, the top level of ice hockey in Sweden.^[19] To better market its brand, Sega bought advertising space on all the helmets of the twelve teams that took part in the league that season, placing its logo there.^[20]^[21]
