PAL freeze
The PAL version of the game can freeze at any point during the first two stages; Siege of the Underworlders and Doomsday in Metropolis. When this occurs, the music may continue for a while, before the game falls silent. If the player can make it to the third stage, the game will play as normal.
The cause for this bug is unknown, however it is not present in the NTSC-U version of the game. Rather than address the issue, it is thought European publishers Acclaim pulled the game from sale.
Introduced in the PAL version.
Not fixed in any further version.
