They're all "slight variations" of each other, but ''Street Fighter II': Special Champion Edition'' =/= ''Street Fighter II': Champion Edition'' =/= ''Street Fighter II': Turbo''. To link all of these things to the same place will just cause more confusion than the series already generates.

SCE is an update to ''Street Fighter II': Hyper Fighting'' (arcade) which was brought to the SNES as ''Street Fighter II' Turbo: Hyper Fighting''. ''Hyper Fighting'' is an update to the arcade version of ''Champion Edition'', which is an update to the original ''The World Warrior''.

''Special Champion Edition'' includes all the stuff seen in ''Champion Edition'' and ''Hyper Fighting''/''Turbo'' but also introduces things like "Group mode", not seen in any previous games. And it brings back the introduction, which the SNES's ''Turbo'' lacks. It's the fourth (or 3.5th) game in the ''Street Fighter II<nowiki>'</nowiki>'' series, and was followed by the likes of ''Super Street Fighter II''. ''Super Street Fighter II''' is the only one that isn't a "slight variation" because it adds completely new characters. And then weird things show up like ''Super Street Fighter II Turbo''.

I hate the naming scheme as much as the next guy but it's fundementally wrong to say that they're all the same game. Granted, we're only talking about redirects but it's still worth pointing out. -[[User:Black Squirrel|Black Squirrel]] 17:40, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Street Fighter II

They're all "slight variations" of each other, but Street Fighter II': Special Champion Edition =/= Street Fighter II': Champion Edition =/= Street Fighter II': Turbo. To link all of these things to the same place will just cause more confusion than the series already generates.

SCE is an update to Street Fighter II': Hyper Fighting (arcade) which was brought to the SNES as Street Fighter II' Turbo: Hyper Fighting. Hyper Fighting is an update to the arcade version of Champion Edition, which is an update to the original The World Warrior.

Special Champion Edition includes all the stuff seen in Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting/Turbo but also introduces things like "Group mode", not seen in any previous games. And it brings back the introduction, which the SNES's Turbo lacks. It's the fourth (or 3.5th) game in the Street Fighter II' series, and was followed by the likes of Super Street Fighter II. Super Street Fighter II' is the only one that isn't a "slight variation" because it adds completely new characters. And then weird things show up like Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

I hate the naming scheme as much as the next guy but it's fundementally wrong to say that they're all the same game. Granted, we're only talking about redirects but it's still worth pointing out. -Black Squirrel 17:40, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
