Collision detection hardware issues

The size and accuracy of ALF's collision detection is dependent on the hardware's support for collision detection in the masked regions of sprites. The Master System does not mark a sprite collision if it occurs in the masked area, but the Mega Drive's backwards compatibility mode does, producing larger hitboxes and a significantly more difficult experience when played through a Power Base Converter.[1]

Not fixed in any version.
