He also says this is the best 20th century war game for both beginners and hardcore fans unsatisfied with conventional simulation games.
Logo-pdf.svg 1997-03-14 Sega Saturn Magazine (JP), "1997-09 (1997-03-28)" "Sega Saturn soft review"
Review copy is 100% complete. Listed as difficult. The game's description reads "A realistic recreation of history: This is the definitive entry in the Advanced series. A number of new systems, such as dual maps, have been introduced. With the Military Museum, once the weapons appear..."

The 3 reviewers all consider it a well-made game with impressive presentation, but for the most think it is only suitable for hardcore fans. Lady Users Group's かおり says fans will find it irresistible, but normal people, especially women, will find the world too depressing and the game too difficult from the graduation exam at start. Game Mania Group's MAN次郎 praises the music, graphics and story as making the game timeless. He recommends it to both veterans and beginners alike. Guest writer 綱島, who is more experienced with fantasy games, found the game very difficult from the military academy graduation exam, but was humbled by the amount of data included in the Military Museum and considers the peak of the simulation game genre.

Logo-pdf.svg 1997-03-14 Saturn Fan (JP), "1997 No. 6" "Saturn Soft Impression"
Review copy is 100% complete. The game's description reads "A realistic simulation of the German Army's battles during World War II".

The game is praised as labor of love from the creators that hardcore fans will in love with from day one, and that the military academy is so thorough in educating players unfamiliar with its systems that that the manual is unnecessary. 加藤 says that it has nice graphics and a non-stressful tempo, but beginners could struggle a bit. While what they've played of the game is easy enough, they're curious to see how that progresses. 安田 says that at least one exploit in the previous game no longer works, giving them the impression that a higher level of strategy is required. Some nice details about the presentation are being able to listen to the countries' national anthems and each unit moving differently in battle, as well as praising the opening, which depicts Hitler and the Hakenkreuz, for being unsettling and though-provoking. Their one criticism is that it might be too long of game.

Other opinions: 荒田 mentions the Maginot Line's return from Advanced Daisenryaku: Deutsch Dengeki Sakusen, 井口 says the Military Museum is amazing and 山口 thinks there are pros and cons to the game's depiction of Hitler and the Nazis.
