Masako Okuda (奥田 昌子) is a background/map artist at Sega of Japan, involved with many games in the Sakura Taisen series across 3 decades. She was born in December/January, under the Capricorn star sign, and her blood type is O[1].

Career

Masako Okuda joined Sega in 1994 and was stationed at Sega RPG Production. The department was disbanded following her work on Magic Knight Rayearth, but she was one of the staff members who then worked at Sega CS2, which developed the Sakura Taisen. She continued to work on the series once the department had become the subsidiary company Overworks. Almost 20 years laters, she returned to create background for the 2020 reboot.

She continued to work with her regular team at its successors Sega WOW, Global Entertainment R&D Dept. 2 and Sega CS3. After CS3 (or Sega Games CS Studio 3 at the time) was dissolved in 2017, she joined Ryu ga Gotoku Studio to work on Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise and further projects.
