LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 1999--

Strong FOX Franchises Such as Croc, Planet of the Apes and World's Scariest Police Chases Will Hit Sega Dreamcast in 2000

Continuing its commitment to delivering the hottest FOX franchises to game enthusiasts worldwide, Fox Interactive today announced the development of three new titles for Sega's next-generation game console, the Sega Dreamcast(TM).

The Dreamcast games will feature some of FOX's best known franchises including: Croc, its original 3D platform character; Planet of the Apes, the highly-anticipated sci-fi action game; and World's Scariest Police Chases: Deadly Pursuit (working title), a supercharged driving game featuring the same excitement and adrenaline pumping pace of the hit FOX TV show. The games are set to launch in the second quarter 2000.

"Our debut titles will take advantage of the Dreamcast's advanced graphics, sound and sense of realism to give gamers the excitement and intensity they've come to expect from us and our development partners," said Eric Hammond, vice president of Development, Fox Interactive. "FOX brings to Dreamcast well-known stories, brands and characters that are not only highly recognizable to the mass market consumer, but also well established within the core video game community."

FOX INTERACTIVE'S DREAMCAST LINE UP:

CROC

FOX's lovable green crocodile is back in an exciting Dreamcast adventure as he searches for his long lost parents. But the search soon becomes a showdown as Croc's archenemy, Baron Dante, is magically resurrected by his evil Dantinis. Join Croc's journey as he explores over 40 levels within four Gobbo tribe villages, each packed with unique Gobbos, mischievous monsters, and tons of surprises. Croc for Dreamcast is being developed by U.K.-based Argonaut Software.

PLANET OF THE APES

Based on one of the most recognizable franchises in movie history and the ground breaking book by Pierre Boulle, Planet of the Apes is set to become one of the most involved and critically acclaimed action-adventure games to date. As Ulysses, sole human survivor, you crash land a spaceship on an uncharted planet 1,000 years into the future.

You soon discover evolution has taken a cruel twist where Apes rule and human beings are at the bottom of the food chain. In a bid for survival, progress through this huge action adventure game and unravel the mystery of the compelling story line. France-based Visiware Studios is developing Planet of the Apes for Dreamcast.

WORLD'S SCARIEST POLICE CHASES: DEADLY PURSUIT (Working Title)

As a cop, you and your partner have multiple cars and weapons at your disposal as you attempt over 75 missions designed to test your skill, reaction, and most of all, your nerve. Helicopters and news cameras hover overhead, sensationalizing the "news event." View action replays of your chases in the aftermath of your missions, complete with running commentary. Play alone or against your friends in multi-player mode in the largest city ever seen in a driving game.
