Latham, NY - May 30, 2000 - Vatical Entertainment, a powerful emerging force in the video game publishing business, has announced the creation of a new publishing arm. The new division, Alter Ego Studios, will target a more mature gaming audience, while games appropriate for all family members will continue to be published under the Vatical logo. The first title to be released under the Alter Ego brand will be System Shock 2 for the Sega® Dreamcast™ console in November 2000. Licensed from Looking Glass Studios and being developed by Marina Games, System Shock 2 will offer all the tension and suspense of the original award winning PC game with a few added surprises. The game will offer a choice of single player RPG, multi-player Internet death match and team-based "capture the flag" modes. "We are excited about the prospects for our new publishing division," stated David Kahl, Vatical Entertainment's Executive Vice-President/General Manager. Alter Ego Studios will unite both existing and original properties with cutting edge developers to provide hard-core gamers with high quality interactive fun.
