Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax

From Sega Retro

Shouldn't PSN in general be removed from the release lists on pages? It used to make sense when only one platform used the service, but now that there are four different PlayStation platforms using it it makes it confusing knowing for which platform the release is supposed to be. Like this game has releases on PS3 and PSV, both of which use PSN. And while I can list the PSV version as psv_date_eu_d to signify that it's a download release, this can't be done for PS3. -TimmiT 22:54, 29 July 2015 (CET)

PSN used to be more of a big deal, and treated as its own thing, so we shouldn't gloss over that. But it could be made clearer that it refers to PS3 games only.
PlayStation 3 PlayStation Network
(PS3) or
Sony PlayStation 3
(PSN)
for release icons maybe? - Hivebrain (talk) 16:43, 29 July 2015 (CDT)
I think that
Sony PlayStation 3
(PSN) would make the most sense, that or
Sony PlayStation 3
(Download) like with other platforms. As PSN isn't much different from download services on other platforms. Unless we'd do the same for other platforms and list releases as
Nintendo 3DS
(eShop) or
Xbox 360
(Xbox Live). -TimmiT 06:49, 30 July 2015 (CET)
Don't we only use
PlayStation 3 PlayStation Network
and
Xbox Live Arcade
for purely digital releases? If if has a retail and digital release we just have it as
Sony PlayStation 3
(Download) like with Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA f for example. JaxTH (talk) 00:28, 30 July 2015 (CDT)
The
PlayStation 3 PlayStation Network
and
Xbox Live Arcade
icons may have out-lived their purpose - I'd favour something like
Sony PlayStation 3
(PSN),
Xbox 360
(XBLA), with ps3_date_eu_d.
While you're at it,
Wii Virtual Console
and
Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console
could use an adjustment too. In fact you might want to replace
Steam
as well - keeps things consistent, and handles the possibility of Sega distributing stuff on rival services one day. -Black Squirrel (talk) 11:22, 30 July 2015 (CDT)
The same should probably be done for Sega Channel releases too. I'm not sure how best to add those to the release lists.--Pirate Dragon (talk) 13:46, 30 July 2015 (CDT)
