The House of the Dead III is an entry to the The House of the Dead series, and a direct sequel to The House of the Dead 2. It was initially developed by Wow Entertainment and published by Sega for Sega Chihiro arcade hardware in 2003, before being ported to the Microsoft Xbox in the same year and Windows PCs in 2005. It has since been re-released on the Wii as part of The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return.
