Revision as of 16:16, 10 November 2022
The Sega Master System console first appeared in this region in 1988. In the following years, the console was released on another market in this region with the collapse of the communist system and market liberalization. From 1993, Sega began distributing the second Master System model. All consoles were compatible with the PAL system as seen in rest of Europe.
In most countries of this region, system was still supported even in 1996. The country that supported this system for the longest time in this region was the Czech Republic, where the console was still promoted in 1997.
The Master System did not achieve success like Mega Drive, but it was much more popular than the NES console. Both 8-bit consoles were outclass by the famiclones.
