Revision comparisons
The 2018 release of Sega Mega Drive Classics introduced a new revision of the game, which merges the two towers of the World Trade Center into one, presumably as a response to the September 11 attacks in 2001. Only the title screen is thought to have been changed - other World Trade Center graphics (such as those found in the ending) were left in-tact.
This is perhaps curious given that the game was re-released several times in the intervening years without such a change. The game also takes place in 1997, before the towers were destroyed.
