Company of Heroes is a strategy game developed by Relic Entertainment and originally published by THQ. Sega became the publisher of the Steam release after they bought the developer in 2013.[4] Following the buyout, a new version of the game was released as a separate app on Steam, titled Company of Heroes (New Steam Version), which made use of Steam's online infrastructure.[2] The original version was still available, albeit without online features, and was eventually renamed Company of Heroes - Legacy Edition in 2017.[5] Purchasing either version grants the buyer access to both.
