Los Angeles, CA-May 11, 2000 - Crave Entertainment announced today that
Starlancer, the first and only first person space combat game for Sega
Dreamcast, will be on the market Q4 of 2000. Coming from the developer whose
core members created and produced Privateer 2: The Darkening and from the
award-winning designers of the phenomenally successful Wing Commander®
series, only allows gamers to experience the premier space combat game of this
caliber and genre for the Sega Dreamcast, but also to join up with friends via
the Internet for intense online, multi-player gaming.

"Co-developed by Chris and Eric Roberts, the brother-team widely credited with
the invention of the space combat genre, Starlancer for Sega Dreamcast extends
the Starlancer universe from the critically acclaimed Microsoft title into a whole

In Starlancer, players are plunged into a futuristic universe in which countries
from around the globe have formed strategic alliances and now battle for control
of Earth, Mars and other planets across the solar system. As part of a newly
formed, ragtag aviation unit known as the 45th Volunteers Squadron, players
must prove themselves and earn the respect of their peers.

While war rages on Earth, Mars and other mixed colonies, players must
demonstrate fearless combat in missions designed to challenge even the most
battle-hardened flying ace. Exhibiting true-to-life, cause-and-effect dynamics,
player's individual accomplishments will resonate within the game world, affect
the game's mission structure and are essential to the overall victory of their
squadron and their cause.

To up their chances for victory in this highly reactive battlescape, players have
access to more than a dozen warships using a unique 3-D interface. Players can
arm their ships with an arsenal of more than 20 lethal weapons including nova
cannons, pulse lasers, collapser guns and jackhammers missiles.

One of the first online multi-player games for Dreamcast, Starlancer is designed
to take full advantage of Sega Dreamcast's on-line capabilities, In the true sense
gamers can dogfight in deathmatch mode or join forces through the entire story
with up to eight total friends via the Internet. Players and their comrades can
create squadrons to share experiences, receive promotions and even gain
command and outrank each other.

Whether players are engaged in a free-for-all with swarming enemies or
escorting a torpedo run on a massive capital ship, Starlancer's state-of-the-art
3-D engine provides unparalleled fluidity in gameplay, while still supplying the
