Daytona USA 2001 (known simply as Daytona USA in North America) is an update to the 1994 arcade racing game Daytona USA released for the Sega Dreamcast in 2001.
The update includes all of the features seen in Daytona USA and Daytona USA: Championship Circuit Edition, but also offers improved graphics, car modifications and remixed music (with the CCE tracks having completely new music). All the tracks can be played in mirrored, reverse and mirror-reverse mode and a "championship mode" was added to the game.
The game is known for having very sensitive controls which far exceed those found in the arcade games. Though in the western version the analogue stick's sensitivity can be altered, it is still slightly too sensitive, even with a steering wheel.
