Personal Computer Division[2] (パーソナルコンピューター事業部[3][4]) was the division of Sega Enterprises responsible for creating Sega SC-3000 and Sega SG-1000 games[4]. At one point, around the time Yuji Naka joined this division in 1984, it had roughly 30 staff members[4].

It also had 4 separate service centers for customer inquiries, one located in the main Haneda office, and 3 branches in Sapporo, Kansai and Hakata[5] While Personal Computer Division is listed in all SC-3000/SG-1000 manuals for Sega-published games, it is explicitly about these enquiries, and not confirmation that each of these are games developed by the division, with several games later credited to other developers such as Compile. Personal Computer Division's relationship to Sega R&D and Sega R&D 2 will also need to be confirmed (e.g. departments within the division? Completely separate?).

The last game manual to mention Personal Computer Division is Shinnyuu Shain Tooru-kun, released in April 1985, the same month departmental restructures typically are put in effect to coincide with the new fiscal year. After this, the text previously directing users to Personal Computer Division instead directed to the Consumer Service Department of the H.E. Division.
