The Mega Drive console made its first appearance in this region in August 1990 and in the following months it appeared in other Scandinavian countries.
In the following years, the console appeared in the Baltics. It achieved good sales results there however, Sega had to contend with a hardware clone. Mega Drive is one of the most popular consoles of the 90s in Baltic region along with PlayStation and famiclones.
